Sidewalk Repair

CONCRETE REPAIR · APPROACH REPLACEMENT · JOINT SEALING

Repair the Concrete. Address the Joints.

8 Pillars’ scope included cut-and-seal work, demolition and repouring of the approach, and sealing all control joints to the project’s city requirements. The project photographs below document the actual repair work.

Work Performed

  • Cut-and-seal work at the repair areas.

  • Tear-out and replacement of the concrete approach.

  • Control-joint sealing throughout the required scope.

What Property Teams Should Plan

A concrete repair needs defined limits and a usable route around the work. Confirm the approach geometry, adjoining elevations, drainage, pedestrian access, and any applicable accessibility details before demolition. Discuss how the new concrete will meet the existing surface and when the repaired area can reopen under the project requirements.

Joint sealing is a separate scope from concrete replacement. A useful bid identifies which joints are included, the specified sealant, surface preparation, and the applicable municipal detail. That keeps a small-looking repair from leaving important finish work undefined.
