10th & Madison
PARKING-AREA IMPROVEMENTS · ASPHALT · CONCRETE · FENCING
One Site. Several Connected Scopes.
At 10th & Madison, 8 Pillars’ work extended beyond a pavement patch. The scope included asphalt tear-out and placement, concrete curbs and light-pole bases, fence removal and rebuilding with weld repairs, and a striping plan.
Work Performed
- Pavement: asphalt tear-out and new asphalt placement.
- Concrete: poured curbs and light-pole bases.
- Fencing: removal, rebuilding, and fence weld work.
- Layout: a striping plan for the parking area.
Why the Interfaces Matter
Pavement, curbs, pole bases, fencing, and parking layout share the same site. Their dimensions and sequence need to work together. For a similar project, identify the repair limits, base conditions, drainage paths, pole-base locations, fence alignment, and traffic routes before setting the work sequence.
A striping plan defines the proposed layout; completed striping is a separate deliverable. Ask the bid team to make that distinction clear and identify who confirms the applicable parking and accessibility requirements.
